Just so you know...

Update: Mom's heart doctor didn't turn in his approval paperwork, so after Mom & Dad got to the hospital they found out her surgery has to be moved to next Tuesday.

Mom is finally having her much-needed back surgery today. Actually, she is probably having it as I type this. She will remain in the hospital hopefully for a few days only. She will be there until she can walk on her own. After that she has about 4 weeks of recovery at the house before she should be okee-dokee.

The procedure's name escapes me right now, but basically she is having part of one or two of her vertebrae worked on. Surgeons will remove part of the bone on the outside of the spine on the vertebrae so that her disc(?) has space to expand and no longer pinch together causing pain and numbness. This is the surgery she needed to have 2 summers ago when she broke her leg and injured her arm. SO, FINALLY!

Prayers for a speedy recovery are much appreciated! Thanks!
